Synergyx can be installed on your web account if it meets the following specifications
- Unix/Linux Operating System (sorry, no NT servers)
- Perl version 5.003 or higher
- CGI-BIN for your account
- FTP access (TELNET access makes things even easier for us, but isn't required)
SSI (Server-side Includes) isn't required, but will give you more affiliate link flexibility
Additionally, if you want to offer SECURE (SSL) ordering to your customers,
your account must have the ability to load pages/scripts via a secure connection.
The above features are standard on MOST Unix-based web accounts.
If you don't yet have a web hosting account, or if you want to install the Synergyx
software on a different account than the one you currently have, here is a small list
of web host companies who offer accounts we've found to be compatible with Synergyx:
Note: Not ALL of the web hosting plans offered by these companies meet the above requirements. Be sure to match the Synergyx requirements with the account specifications.
Also, there are hundreds of web host companies that have compatible accounts -- the above list is not at all comprehensive!
